Eunice "Pat" Peters

October 19, 1922 — April 19, 2015

Pat Peters, age 92, passed away at her Kaukauna home on Sunday night, April 19, 2015. She was born in the Brown County town of Lawrence on October 19, 1922, daughter of the late George and Minnie (Vanden Heuvel) Baeten. She attended St. Paul Catholic School in Wrightstown, and from 1943 to 1944 served in the United States Army. She had her husband, Alois Peters, were actually married in their military uniforms on October 25, 1953 at St. Paul's Church in Wrightstown. Alois preceded Pat in death in 1987.

In her younger years, she enjoyed visiting Romy's Nitingale where she enjoyed dancing and music. In her later years she loved listening to the BeeGees. Pat loved bowling with Alois, and after his death continued bowling with her daughters well into her 70's. She also enjoyed crafts, and was a skilled cook and baker who loved to share he treats with family and friends, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

Pat is survived by four loving daughters: Diane Peters of Kaukauna; Nancy (Don Mohr) Peters of Kaukauna; Debra Peters of Kaukauna; and JoAnn (Mark) Petras of Darboy; a son: Raymond (Amy) Peters of Hollandtown. There are also eleven grandchildren: Lisa (Tony) Fugarino; Jenny (Matt) Sabee; Ryan (Brandy Halbach) Onkels; Brett and Bryce Peters; Kyle (Karalen Senft) Peters; Andrew Peters; Colleen Peters; Jared Buchberger; Alex Buchberger; and Czach (Becca Germain) Petras. There are also several great-grandchildren: Rowen Onkels; Tony, Jolie, and Olivia Fugarino; Savanah and MaKenna Sabee; as well as Brandy's children Eli and Cory Stancer, and Becca's children Carter and Mason. Pat is further survived by the loving mother of Brett and Bryce: Julie Schroeder; two sisters: Vi Jacquet of Green Bay and Rita Willems of Sister Bay; and three in-laws: Ella Baeten, Betty Baeten, and Hub Gerend.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, a son Gerald Peters; a nephew, Lee Peters; her siblings, Norbert (Opal) Baeten, Robert Baeten, Harold Baeten, Milly (Charles) Bickel, Helen (Paul Casey, Frank Thiessen), Marge Gerend, Cyrilla “Sis” (Deuce) Weyenberg, and Adeline “Toddy” (Leroy) Peters; and by her brothers-in-law Don Jacquet and Earl Willems.

The funeral liturgy for Pat will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 24, 2015 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish – St. Mary's Church, located at 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the hour of the mass. The family would like to offer thanks to their dear sister Debra for the many years of care she gave to Pat, allowing her to remain in her own home. We love you and will always be grateful for everything you did for mom. Also, sincere thanks to the many caregivers who have been angels to Pat and our family these past three years, especially to Shelly and to Phil Garwood. Mom so loved your caring way, and we will never be able to thank you enough. You have all been blessings to us.
